Les Fleurs

The Alchemy Collection is a collaborative series of original artwork produced by Liz Rundorff Smith and Teresa Roche. The patterns in this collection are made from the original artwork the artists create together by layering encaustic wax, pigmented pastel powders, geometric forms, and organic motifs. The encaustic artwork is then transformed into a distinct and sophisticated series of textile patterns.

In thinking about the source of inspiration that would most concisely describe Les Fleurs, we agreed that music is the constant author of our creative productivity. Music makes us feel the full range of emotions and serves as a vehicle to time travel. When naming “Les Fleurs” we channeled Minnie Ripperton. Her voice provided the musical score for our most vivid memories. We thought of flowy boho dresses, lawn parties, romantic florals and the quiet buzz of summer evenings spent under the stars.

We highly recommend all wallpaper measurements and installation be carried out by a professional. 

 Please note: the ideal temperature for wallpapering and drying is about 65 degrees Fahrenheit.  If possible, adjust room to this temperature and leave wallpaper rolls in the room for 48 hours prior to installation, allowing the wallpaper to acclimate to the room and temperature. Then maintain this temperature for a few days after installation.
